MIDLOTHAIN, Va. - Cleveland State shot a final round 329 and placed 13th of 15 teams at the Richmond Spider Invitational on Tuesday morning at the par-72, 6,113-yard International Golf Club.

The event concluded the fall season for the Vikings.

"I thought we played pretty decent today," assistant coach Nathan Miklos said. "There are definitely some things we have to work on and improve on, but we will make those adjustments as we prepare for the spring season."

Senior Katie Broere carded a final round 77 and wound up tied for 28th place overall at 158 (81-77). Her final round score was the third time she carded a 77 this fall.

"I think it was a positive to see Katie shoot in the mid 70's," Miklos said. "She really stepped up and hopefully will be able to use that momentum to springboard to the fall."

Freshman Lisa Barber had her best tournament of the fall, finishing tied for 51st overall and 163. She followed up Monday's opening round 83 with a season-low total of 80.

"It was great to see Lisa compete the way she did this week," Miklos said. "We will need to see more of that out of her in the spring and I expect that she is capable of performing like that.

The Vikings are now out of action until March 15-16 when they compete at the South Dakota Invitational in Primm Valley, Nev.
