CSU Women in Sixth at Golden Grizzly Invitational

Rochester, Mich. - The CSU women's golf team is currently competing in the Golden Grizzly Invitational, which is being held at Katke-Cousins Golf Course. After the first day of competition, the Viking linksters sit in sixth place with a team total of 383.

The top CSU golfer is freshman Kristen Obush (Indiana, Pa./Indiana Area) who is in 23rd , turning in a first round of 91. She is followed closely by sophomore Carma Rieck (Southport, Ind./Southport) who sits in 24th place with an opening round of 92 and Tori Kastl (Hinkley, Ohio/Medina) is in 28th place with a 95.

Youngstown State leads the event with a first-round team total of 334. The individual leader, Emily Minnich of host Oakland University, paces the field with an 80.

Following the Golden Grizzly Invitational, the Vikings conclude the fall season at the Malone College Invitational, which will be held at Tannenhauf Golf Course on October 11-12.
