LEWISBURG, Pa. - Cleveland State wrapped up play at the Bucknell Fall Classic on Sunday, finishing 10th out of 17 teams. The host Bison edged Lehigh by a stroke to win the title at the 5,952 yard, par 70 Bucknell GC.
Bucknell finished at 632, to narrowly defeat the Explorers. Siena was third at 641. The Vikings carded a 695.
Bucknell's Teri Schlang margin of victory was almost as narrow in the race for medalist as she turned in a 151 to top St. Francis' (Pa.) Samantha Milosh by two shots. Towson's Elisabeth Herzfeld was in third place at 155.
CSU freshman Laren Beese led CSU with a 169 to tie for 29th, while sophomore Ashley Davidson tied for 33rd at 172. Junior Amanda Glatfelter shot a 176 to finish 48th.
The Vikings are in action again on Oct. 9-10 when they take part in the Detroit Invitational at the Western Golf & Country Club in Redford, Mich.
