Women's Golf Finishes Ninth At Lady Falcon Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's golf team opened its 2003-04 season at the Bowling Green Lady Falcon Invitational held over the weekend. The Vikings earned a ninth-place finish with a two-round total of 701 at the Forrest Creason Golf Club.

Grand Valley State won the team title in a playoff after finishing tied at 619 with Toledo. The individual title also came down to a playoff, as Oakland's Mara Mazzoni defeated GVSU's Melissa Sneller after both carded a two-round total of 147.

Sophomore Kristen Obush (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) paced CSU with an 84-80 -- 164 to finish 20th.

The Vikings are in action again on Sept. 22-23 when they travel to Indianapolis to take part in the Butler Invitational.
