LEWISBURG, Pa. - Cleveland State carded a 54-hole total of 956 and finished ninth of 15 teams at the Bucknell Invitational that concluded on Monday at the par-70, 5863-yard Bucknell G.C.
"This was a good way to open the season," head coach Steve Weir said. "We struggled a bit to finish the second round today, but I was happy with the way we rebounded to finish the final round. This is a great group of girls and I'm excited to watch them grow as the season progresses."
Junior Lisa Barber was the Vikings top finsher, tying for 22nd place overall with rounds of 77-76-79 (232). Junior Ariel Sparrow fired CSU's low round today, a 78, to tie for 32nd place overall ad 238 (78-82-78).
The Vikings are back in action on Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 17-18) when CSU competes at the Ball State Cardinal Classic.
