LEWISBURG, Pa. - Cleveland State opened play at the Bucknell Invitational on Saturday by shooting rounds of 332 and 335 and is in 13th place out of 18 teams following the first day of competition at the par-70, 6,006-yard Bucknell Golf Club.

"We struggled a little bit today, but I did see some good things that we will be able to build upon," head coach Steve Weir said. "Our two sophomores played great and our freshmen are going to continue to improve every tournament out.

"This was the first time out for a lot of our players to play 36 holes in a day at the college level so it was nice to get them out and get that experience."

Ariel Sparrow is tied for 20th after the first two rounds to lead the Vikings, carding rounds of 77-79 (156). Lisa Barber is tied for 38th at 163 following rounds of 82-81.

The final 18 holes will be played on Sunday, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
