Vikings Tied for Third at Horizon League Championship

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Cleveland State carded a second round 336, taking eight shots off yesterday's first round score, and is tied for third of eight teams at the Horizon League Championship.

The 54-hole event is being played at the par-73, 5,877-yard Mission Inn Resort.

Butler holds the 36-hole lead following a second round 323 that has the Bulldogs at 654 overall. Detroit is in second place at 674, while CSU is tied with Loyola for third place at 680. The duo is followed by Youngstown State (689), Green Bay (697), Valparaiso (708) and UIC (721).

Freshman Colleen Miller followed a first round 86 with an 81 today and is tied for eighth place overall. Ariel Sparrow is tied for 13th place at 169 (83-86), while Madeline Kaminski is in 15th place with rounds of 87 and 84 (171).

Lisa Barber is tied for 17th place at 173 (88-85) and Shelly Ford is in 26th place at 178 (89-89).

The final round will be played on Sunday.
