BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Cleveland State carded a final round 319, the fourth lowest round in school history, to place ninth of 11 teams at the BGSU Falcon Invitational on Sunday morning at the par-72, 5,983-yard Stone Ridge Golf Club.

CSU knocked 40 shots off its first round score of 359 from Saturday.

"We played really well today and that was nice to see because the league tournament is next weekend," head coach Steve Weir said. "The conditions were not ideal and it was great to see everyone hang in there and post good scores. We still have a few things to work on, but that's what we'll use this week for."

Senior Katie Broere paced the Vikings as she tied for 19th place with a two-round total of 165 (88-77), while Ariel Sparrow and Lisa Barber tied for 36th at 170. Sparrow fired rounds of 90 and 80, while Barber shot 89-81.

Laren Beese shot 81 today, while Annie Teicher had an 82 as all five golfers were within five shots of each other.

The Vikings will be back in action on Saturday and Sunday (April 24-25) when CSU competes in the Horizon League Championship at Kearney Hills G.C. in Lexington, Ky.
