WINNETKA, Ill. - Playing in a cold drizzle, Cleveland State put together the fifth-best round of the day to earn a sixth-place finish at the inaugural Loyola Rambler Invitational. The 36-hole event took place at the par 72, 5,830 yard Winnetka Golf Club.

Oakland finished at 640 to claim the team title by 11 strokes over Western Illinois, while the Vikings came in at 691.

Oakland's Patricia Ellsworth claimed medalist honors at 150, edging Butler's Nike Garden by a single shot. Kristen Obush paced CSU with a 167 to finish in a tie for 13th.

"We battled today in tough conditions -- it was hard to feel your hands by the end of the round," CSU head coach Tom Porten said. "I was pleased with how we competed and am looking for continued improvement this weekend in Youngstown."

Cleveland State is in action again on April 17-18 when the Vikings compete in their final regular season at the Youngstown State Invitational at Salem Hills Country Club.
