AVON, Ind. - Cleveland State shot a 338 in the final round of the Butler Spring Invitational to move up one spot and finish fourth out of 10 teams. The 36-hole event was played at the par-72, 5,445-yard Prestwick Country Club.
"I was extremely impressed with how the team played today," head coach Steve Weir said. "We shot lower as a team today than in the first round and that was quite an accomplishment with the conditions we were playing in. It was a mental grind today, but the girls really hung in there well."
Teams were faced with winds that gusted 30-40 miles, while there were also some snow flurries during play.
Sophomore Katie Broere shot an 82 in the final round to finish in the top-10 at 153.
Laren Beese carded an 83 today, while Mallory Wyderka shot an 84.
CSU will be out of action until they compete at the 36-hole Cincinnati Invitational on March 31-April 1.
