TAMPA, Fla. - Katie Broere carded a school-record 72 in the final round of the Northern Illinois Invitational on Friday morning as the Vikings finished fourth of eight teams at the event.
The tournament was played at Pebblecreek Golf Course.
"Katie was fabulous today and to set a school-record in the first event of the spring in quite an accomplishment," assistant coach Nathan Miklos said. "As a team, we played much better today than yesterday and were able to get off to a great start."
The Vikings fired a 321 as a team after totaling 338 on Thursday.
Mallory Wyderka shot a 77 today, while Amanda Glatfelter tallied an 84.
CSU will return to action on March 24-25 when the Vikings compete at the Butler Spring Invitational.
