JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Cleveland State shot an opening round 330 and is tied for fifth place after the opening round of the BenBow Invitational on Monday.
"I thought we played well for it being our first round of the spring," head coach Steve Weir said. "There were some good signs that we can build on moving forward and I'm excited to see how we respond and play tomorrow."
Junior Ariel Sparrow led the Vikings with a 76, shooting 38 on both nines, while sophomore Madeline Kaminski fired an 80.
The second round will be played on Tuesday.
