JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Cleveland State women's golf team opened its spring season with a dual match loss against Butler on Saturday, March 12.
The Vikings lost, 335-361.
"It was nice for us to finally get outside and get some swings in before we start spring tournament play," head coach Steve Weir said. "We know that there are some things that we still have to work on and improve, but that will come with the more we are able to play."
Shelly Ford led the Vikings with an 87, while Madeline Kaminski shot an 89.
The Vikings will stay in Jacksonville to compete in the Don Benbow Invitational on Monday and Tuesday (March 14-15).
