Kormuth Named #HLGOLF Women’s Player of the Week

Cleveland, OH-Kaitlin Kormuth has been named the Horizon League's Women's Golf Player of the Week, the league office announced today.

Kormuth claims her first league weekly award after winning her first ever tournament on Tuesday at the NKU Julie Invitational. The freshman from Solon became the third Cleveland State women's player to win a tournament in the past two seasons.

Kormuth tied her career low with a 72 in the final round and finished the tournament at 1-over par for the 36-hole event.

She recorded a three-shot victory and the win was her second top-five finish of the season. Kormuth and the Vikings head to Eastern Kentucky for the EKU Colonel Classic scheduled for April 1-2.
