Vikings Travel to Bowling Green for Dolores Black Invitational

CLEVELAND -- Cleveland State returns to the course on Saturday (April 6) when it participates in the Dolores Black Invitational hosted by Bowling Green State at Stone Ridge Golf Club. The tournament will open with 18 holes on Saturday and conclude with 18 holes on Sunday (April 7).

Cleveland State will be joined in the field by Bowling Green State, Central Michigan, Chicago State, Detroit, Eastern Michigan, UIC, Oakland, Ohio and Western Michigan. The 36-hole event will be played on the par-72, 5,829-yard layout at Stone Ridge Golf Club.

This will mark the Vikings fourth event of the spring season, which included competing at the Colonel Classic last week. Cleveland State finished 12th at the Colonel Classic and Ashley Knight led the Vikings by finishing tied for 33rd overall with a 54-hole score of 233.

Madison Butler currently leads the Vikings with a 76.6 stroke average and has posted six top-20 finishes on the season, while Kaylee Neumeister is second on the team with a 77.3 average and has recorded three top-20 finishes.

Knight is third on the team with a 78.7 average, which includes one top-20 finish. She tied her season best with a 74 in the final round of the Colonel Classic and she also shot a 74 in her opening round of the season at Youngstown State in the fall.

Meg Rossouw and Grace Zimmerman round out the Vikings group. Rossouw has an 81.6 scoring average, while Zimmerman has an 81.7 average.

Teams will tee off at 9 a.m. on Saturday and 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
