Vikings Move Up to Fourth Place After Two Rounds of Horizon League Championship

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Cleveland State shot a second round 315 and moved up two spots into fourth place after two rounds of the Horizon League Championship that continued on Monday at the par-73, 6,171-yard Las Colinas Course at Mission Inn Resort.

The Vikings - who were 19 shots better than Sunday's opening round 334 - will enter the final round just three shots behind third place UIC. IUPUI holds the lead after two rounds at 619, while Oakland is in second at 635 and is followed by UIC (646) and CSU (649). Northern Kentucky is fifth at 656, while Detroit Mercy (662), Green Bay (667) and Youngstown State (678) round out the field.

Freshman Madison Butler carded a 76 today and is tied for eighth place overall with a 157 total (81-76), while sophomore Kaylee Neumeister is one shot back in 10th place at 158. She has started the tournament with rounds of 81-77.

Senior Sophie Kelner followed a first round 89 with a 79 today and is tied for 21st place at 168, while senior Emily Turski is tied for 28th place at 170 (87-73) and freshman Ashley Knight is tied for 34th with rounds of 85-90 (175).

The final round of the League championship will be played on Tuesday and CSU will be paired with Northern Kentucky and Detroit Mercy. The teams will tee off beginning at 8:20 am and will tee off every 10 minutes after that.
