BOARDMAN, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's golf team shot a first round 305 and is in second place out of six teams at the season opening Youngstown State Kickoff that began on Monday at the par-70 Mill Creek Park GC (North).

The Vikings are four shots behind first round leader Youngstown State which shot a 301 today. Indiana State is in third place at 308 and is followed by Dayton (310), Ashland (312) and Northern Kentucky (317).

Sophie Kelner and Kaylee Neumeister both shot opening round 74's and are tied for third place overall. The duo is just one shot behind Indiana State's Marissa Uradomo and YSU's Katlyn Shutt who shot 73 to share the first round lead.

Ellie Cronin carded an opening round 78 and is tied for 28th, while Rayna Oosterhuis shot 79 and is tied for 24th place.

The final round of the event will be played on Tuesday.
