Ellie Cronin Signs With CSU Women's Golf

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Ellie Cronin, who helped Chaminade Julienne HS to top-four finishes at the state tournament in all four of her years, has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Cleveland State and play women's golf.

Cronin, the younger sister of former CSU women's golfer Micaela, will join CSU in the fall of 2016 and have four years of eligibility.

A four-year letterwinner, Cronin helped her high school team to four straight league, sectional and district titles. The team was the state runner-up her freshman year, finished third her sophomore and senior seasons and placed fourth her junior year.

The league Player of the Year as a junior and senior, Cronin was a four-time first team all-league selection and averaged 38.9 per nine holes and 77.8 per 18 holes as a senior.

A captain her junior and senior seasons, Cronin was the SW District Player of the Year her final year when she also set records for nine hole (33) and 18-hole (72) rounds. Cronin, who placed 11th at the state tournament as a junior, was also an Academic All-Ohio honoree in each of her final two seasons.
