Vikings in Fifth Place After First Two Rounds of Rocket Classic

CATAWBA ISLAND, Ohio - Cleveland State shot rounds of 323 and 313 and is in fifth place out of 11 teams after the first two rounds of the Toledo Rocket Classic that opened on Monday at the par-72, 5,884-yard Catawba Island G.C.

Host Toledo leads the field with a 36-hole total of 589, while Ohio is in second place at 615. Loyola (626), Bowling Green (631) and CSU (636) round out the top-five with the Vikings holding an 11-shot advantage over sixth place Indiana State.

Sophie Kelner followed an opening round 78 with a second round one-over-par 73 and is tied for fifth place at 151. Kelner's second round was highlighted by an eagle on the par-4, 17th hole, one of just two eagles on the day.

Allyson Hackman is tied for 10th place overall at 154, following rounds of 80 and 74, while Rayna Oosterhuis shot 78-79 (157) and is tied for 17th place.

The final round of the event will be played on Tuesday morning.
