Hackman & Miller Shoot 72's To Tie School Record

VIENNA, Ohio - Allyson Hackman and Colleen Miller both shot final round 72's to tie the school record for lowest individual round and Cleveland State carded a school record 296 to finish as the runner-up at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational that concluded on Tuesday at Candywood G.C.

CSU's final round 296 shattered the old school record 305 at the Bowling Green Invitational on April 14, 2013, in the second round.

Miller and Hackman both carded even-par rounds today, tying the CSU record which was done twice before, most recently by Micaela Cronin at last year's Chicago State Invitational. Katie Broere was the first CSU player to fire a 72 at the Southern Illinois Invitational in 2008.

Miller finished as the runner-up of the event with a 36-hole total of 149 (77-72), two shots behind medalist Emily Dixon of Youngstown State.

Hackman tied for fifth place at 153 (81-72), along with teammate Madison Lomas who carded rounds of 78 and 75.

Sophie Kelner shot 81-77 (158) to place 10th, while Hannah Bennie was one spot back in 11th place with rounds of 78-81 (159).

The Vikings will be back in action at the Bucknell Invitational on Sept. 6-7.
