Vikings Tie For Sixth at Colonel Classic

RICHMOND, Ky. - Cleveland State shot a final round 314, tied for the second lowest round by the squad this year and tied for the fifth lowest round in school history, and tied for sixth place at the Colonel Classic that concluded on Saturday as the host at the par-72, 5,838-yard Arlington G.C.

The Vikings opened with a 329 in the first round on Friday as the event was cut from 54 holes to 36 holes due to rain yesterday.

Sophomore Allyson Hackman was CSU's top finisher at the event, tying for 25th place with a 36-hole total of 160 (81-79). Seniors Madeline Kaminski (85-78) and Micaela Cronin (78-85) tied for 37th place with a 163 total.

Senior Shelly Ford fired CSU's lowest round of the day today with a 77 and tied for 43rd place at 164 (87-77).

The Vikings will play in the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational on April 12-13. It will be the final event for CSU before the Horizon League Championship from April 25-27 in Florida.
