Vikings Finish Eighth at MAC Preview

NASHPORT, Ohio - Cleveland State wrapped up its fall season by shooting a 318 in the final round of the MAC Preview on Tuesday afternoon and finished eighth of 15 teams at the par-72, 6,173-yard Longaberger G.C.

The Vikings opened the tournament with a 325 on Monday.

CSU's round today was the fourth time this fall that the Vikings broke 320 as a team. Prior to this year, the Vikings had broken 320 a total of 10 times in the history of the program.

Madeline Kaminski led the Vikings by tying for 20th place with rounds of 81-78 (159), while Ariel Sparrow and Allyson Hackman tied for 25th place. Sparrow carded CSU's low round of the day with a 77 after yesterday's 83, while Hackman shot her second straight round of 80.

Lisa Barber tied for 46th place with rounds of 81-83 (164).

Ball State shot rounds of 315-306 to win the team title with a 36-hole total of 621. The Cardinals were followed by Bowling Green (624), Eastern Michigan (625), Toledo (627), Akron (634), Butler (635), Western Michigan (636), CSU (643), Bucknell (645), Northern Illinois (648), Ohio (652), Youngstown State (655), Chicago State (656), Dayton (658) and Detroit (674).

Today's round concluded the fall season for the Vikings. They will return to competitive action in March when the spring season begins, leading up to the Horizon League Championship in late April.
