INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Following a four hour delay for frost, the Cleveland State women's golf team went out and fired a 313 to open the Butler Fall Invitational on Monday.

The 36-hole event is being played at the par-70, 5,951-yard Highland C.C.

CSU's round was tied for the second lowest round in program history, one shot shy of equaling the school-record round of 312 set at last year's final round of the Zippy Invitational. It marked the second consecutive round of 313 for the Vikings who fired the same score in the final round of the CSU Invitational on Sept. 25.

Ariel Sparrow paced the Vikings today with a 75 and is tied for eighth place. Shelly Ford is tied for 14th place after a 77, while Madeline Kaminski carded a 79 and is tied for 23rd. Lisa Barber rounded out CSU's four scores and is tied for 33rd place after an 82.

The final round of the event is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
