INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Cleveland State shot a final round 322 and finished seventh in the 11 team Butler Invitational on Tuesday at the par-70, 5,951-yard Highland C.C.

The Vikings, who opened with a 313, tied for the second lowest round in school history, finished with a 36-hole total of 635. CSU finished ahead of the other three Horizon League squads in the field - Loyola, Valparaiso and Green Bay.

CSU was just one shot behind sixth place Butler (634) and six shots behind fifth place Eastern Illinois (629). Bowling Green shot consecutive rounds of 300 to win the tournament with a 36-hole total of 600.

CSU senior Ariel Sparrow led the Vikings, tying for 13th place with rounds of 75-80 (155).Madeline Kaminski tied for 19th place at 158 with back-to-back rounds of 79, while Shelly Ford shot 77-83 (160) to tie for 31st place.

Playing as an individual, Allyson Hackman shot two rounds in the 70's (77-79) and tied for 15th place at 156.

The Vikings conclude the fall season when CSU competes in the MAC Preview on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 15-16).
