CLEVELAND, Ohio - The CSU women's golf team returns to action on Saturday and Sunday (April 13-14) when the Vikings compete at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational.

The 36 hole tournament will be played at the par-72, 5,960-yard Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio.

In addition to CSU and host Bowling Green, the tournament field includes Ashland, Chicago State, Detroit, Ferris State, Findlay, Indianapolis, IPFW, Loyola, Niagara, Northern Illinois, Northwood, Oakland and Ohio.

The Vikings were last in action on April 5-6 at the Colonel Classic hosted by Eastern Kentucky. It was CSU's first 54 hole event of the spring and just its second between the fall and spring.

CSU carded rounds of 325-312-324 to finish 12th of 14 teams. The second round 312 was tied for the lowest round in program history, made all the more impressive since the Vikings had not played a competitive round of golf since March 26 at the Benbow Invitational.

Three of CSU's four scorers shot rounds in the 70's in the second round, led by Lisa Barber's career-low tying 76. Ariel Sparrowshot 77, while Allyson Hackman fired a 79.

Hackman led the Vikings, tying for 38th place overall with rounds of 79-79-80 (238).

Sparrow continues to lead the Vikings in scoring average at 79.6 as she is attempting to become just the second player in the 12 year history of the program to average under 80.0 for a season (Katie Broere, 78.5 in 2008-09).

Sparrow's career scoring average of 81.4 is currently tops in school history.

Madeline Kaminski is second on the team with an 80.4 scoring average, while Hackman is close behind at 80.6. Both rank in the top-six of a single season in CSU history.

As a team, the Vikings 320.8 scoring average is on pace to shatter the school record of 329.5 per round set last season.

CSU's final event of the spring before the league championship will be on April 20 when the Vikings compete at the Ball State Invitational.
