CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's golf team will play in its final tournament before the Horizon League Championship when the Vikings compete in the Angola Shootout hosted by Ball State on Saturday (April 20).

The seven team field includes Akron, Bowling Green, Ohio, Toledo and Western Michigan in addition to host Ball State and CSU.

The Vikings are coming off the best round in school history, firing a 305 at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational on Sunday. It was seven shots better than the old school record of 312 and helped CSU finish tied for eighth of 16 teams at the event. The Vikings took 38 shots off their first round score at the event.

Freshman Allyson Hackman was CSU's top finisher, tying for 21st place with rounds of 86 and a career-low 75.

Junior Madeline Kaminski matched Hackman's 75 in the second round, while junior Shelly Ford shot 77 and senior Lisa Barber carded a 78 to help the Vikings set the school record.

Senior Ariel Sparrow, who did not compete last weekend, leads the team with a 79.6 scoring average, while Hackman is second at 80.6 and Kaminski third at 80.8.
