LEWISBURG, Pa. - Cleveland State opened the 2012 fall season with rounds of 321 and 328 and is tied for ninth place of 15 teams at the Bucknell Lady Bison Fall Classic that opened on Saturday.

The 54-hole event is being played at the par-70, 5,863-yard Bucknell G.C.

CSU was in seventh place after the opening round, but split two spots after the second round, which was delayed by two hours due to weather.

"I thought we got off to a great start in the opening round and the girls showed some great things for this being the first tournament," head coach Steve Weir said. "We also got off to a quick start in round two, but couldn't sustain that momentum. I was happy to see everyone battle and hang in there, especially with some of the conditions and delays we faced. We'll get a good night of rest tonight and come back tomorrow and try to see how far we can move up the leader board."

Senior Lisa Barber carded back-to-back rounds of 80 and is tied for 24th place with a 36-hole total of 160. Also tied for 24th place is freshman Allyson Hackman who is playing in her first career collegiate tournament. She shot rounds of 81-79 and was the lone CSU player to break 80 on day one.

Junior Madeline Kaminski shot rounds of 80-84 (164) and is tied for 44th place, while senior Ariel Sparrow shot 80-85 (165) and is tied for 49th. Sophomore Colleen Miller is tied for 63rd place after rounds of 83-87 (170).
