Jessica Roque

Jessica Roque, a former Cleveland State women’s basketball standout, returned to her alma mater prior to the 2015-16 season and will serve as an assistant coach.

Roque was a four-year letterwinner for the Vikings (2006-07 through 2009-10), helping Cleveland State to a pair of Horizon League Championships and two trips to the NCAA Tournament during her career.

Roque finished her time in a Viking uniform ranked among the program’s best in multiple career statistical categories, including three-point field goals made, games played, and games started.

Throughout her four-year career, Roque played in 127 contests, a mark that ranks second on the CSU career list. She started 96 of those games, a mark that ranked seventh on the top-10 list when she graduated and currently ranks ninth. Roque also still has a spot in the top-10 in three-point field goals made, finishing her career with 133 three-point field goals.

Off the court, Roque was a four-time athletic academic honoree, graduating cum laude with a degree in health sciences.

Following her four-year career, Roque served as a Graduate Assistant for the Vikings (2010-11 & 2011-12) earning her master’s degree in exercise science.
