Cleveland State Women’s Basketball Enters #HLWBB Tournament As No. 2 Seed

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - For the first time in program history the Cleveland State women's basketball team will be playing in the Horizon League Tournament as the No. 2 seed, as the Vikings enter the 2023 Barbasol Horizon League Tournament as the second-seeded team in the bracket.

The second-seeded Vikings will open tournament play with a quarterfinal contest on Thursday, March 2 at 5:30 p.m. inside the Wolstein Center.

Cleveland State's quarterfinal opponent will be determined following Tuesday night's first round contests.

The Vikings will be playing on their home court in #HLWBB tournament play for the fourth straight season, while this year marks the second straight time that Cleveland State will be hosting a quarterfinal matchup.

Cleveland State enters Thursday's quarterfinal game with a 27-4 overall record, including a 17-3 mark in Horizon League action. The Vikings have won 10 of their last 11 games, and own a 14-1 record when playing inside the Wolstein Center this season.

The winner of Thursday's quarterfinal contest will advance to the semifinals on Monday, March 6 in Indianapolis, Ind. while the 2023 Barbasol Horizon League Tournament Championship game is set for Tuesday, March 7.

Following the women's quarterfinal matchup the Cleveland State men will also host a #HLMBB quarterfinal, with one ticket getting fans into both games.
