Cleveland State Women’s Basketball Set To Close Out Regular Season At Milwaukee Saturday

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's basketball team will close out regular season play on Saturday, February 25, traveling to Milwaukee for a 2:00 p.m. EST contest against the Panthers.

Entering Saturday's contest, the Vikings are 26-4 overall this year, and 16-3 in Horizon League action. Cleveland State's 26 wins so far this season marks a single-season record, while the 16 #HLWBB victories also marks a program record for the Vikings.

With just one game left to play, Cleveland State currently sits in second place in the #HLWBB standings, while Milwaukee is currently seventh with a 10-17 overall record and an 8-11 mark against league opponents.

Saturday's game will mark the 16th road game of the season for the Vikings - and the fourth out of the last six games - with Cleveland State owning a 12-3 record when playing away from home this year.

Earlier this season Cleveland State earned an 81-50 victory over Milwaukee as part of the Vikings' record-setting 16-game win streak. This win marked the third straight victory for Cleveland State against Milwaukee, while another win on Saturday would give the Vikings their eighth series sweep of the year.

Entering the final game of regular season play, Cleveland State leads the Horizon League in multiple offensive and defensive categories, including scoring (75.6 ppg), scoring margin (18.2), field goal % (.433), rebounding (42.6 rpg), and blocked shots (4.00). Individually, Destiny Leo leads the league averaging 18.0 points per game along with a .916 free throw percentage and a .388 three-point field goal percentage, while Jordana Reisma ranks second with 1.3 blocked shots per game.

Last time out, Reisma recorded three blocks at Green Bay, marking the 12th game this season that she has finished with multiple blocks, including the fifth straight. Reisma also led the Viking offense with 11 points on the night - her sixth double-digit scoring game of the year.

Along with Reisma, Leo also finished with double-digit points, finishing with 10 against the Phoenix for her 27th 10+ point game of the year. Half of Leo's points came from the free throw line, as she was a perfect 5-for-5 on the game, marking the 18th time this season that she has been perfect from the charity stripe, ranking fourth among Division I players with her .916 free throw percentage on the year.
