Reisma Named #HLWBB Freshman Of The Week

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - After helping the Vikings to a pair of wins last week, Cleveland State women's basketball freshman Jordana Reisma has been named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week. This marks the fourth weekly honor for Reisma this season, while the Vikings have now combined for 10 weekly accolades.

Last week Reisma and the Vikings picked up a non-league win against Chicago State along with an 83-59 victory at IUPUI to improve to 23-3 overall and 13-2 in #HLWBB play. Saturday's victory against the Jaguars tied the program record for wins in a single-season, while it also kept the Vikings at the top of the league standings.

Reisma averaged 10.5 points and 4.0 rebounds in the two games last week, and shot 56-percent from the field.

Against Chicago State Reisma finished with seven points and five rebounds, while she followed that up with 14 points, three rebounds and two blocked shots against IUPUI. The 14 points against the Jaguars tied a season-high for Reisma, while a 6-for-9 effort from the field on the game set a season-best for the freshman.

With her two blocks on the week Reisma now has a team-best 30 for the year and is tied for second in the league standings averaging 1.2 blocks per game.
