White Named To #HLWBB All-Tournament Team

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After leading Cleveland State back to the Horizon League Semifinals for the second straight season, women's basketball senior Mariah White was named to the 2021 #HLWBB All-Tournament Team. 

White is just the eighth Viking to be named to the Horizon League All-Tournament Team, and the first since 2010.

Through three tournament games, White averaged 22.3 points, 4.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game, while playing 112 of a possible 120 minutes.

White recorded 20+ points in all three tournament games; 24 against Wright State in the Semifinals, 22 at Green Bay in the Quarterfinals and 21 against UIC in the First Round. 

In the First Round win over UIC, White also combined for two assists and two steals, while she followed that up with eight helpers and two takeaways against Green Bay in the Quarterfinals. Against Wright State, White posted three assists and two steals, marking the 11th time this season that she has finished with 15+ points, 2+ assists and 2+ steals.

Vote Mariah White For Senior CLASS Award
Last month, White was named one of 10 national finalists for the Senior CLASS Award for her accomplishments in the four C's of Community, Classroom, Character, and Competition. After being named a top-30 candidate for the award earlier this month, White was selected by a committee as a finalist and will now be eligible to be named the Senior CLASS Award winner.
