INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Following a 19-10 regular season record, which included a 9-9 mark in Horizon League play, the Cleveland State women's basketball team has earned the No. 6 seed in the upcoming 2020 Horizon League Basketball Championship.

The sixth-seeded Vikings will open tournament play with a First Round contest against No. 7 Youngstown State on Tuesday, March 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the Wolstein Center.

During regular season play, the two teams split the two meetings, with the Vikings earning a 60-52 victory in the first matchup and the Penguins posting an 84-72 win during the second half of league play. Both teams picked up their respective wins on their home courts.

Cleveland State earned a first round home game by virtue of finishing in the top-half of the league standings, and will be playing on its home court in #HLWBB tournament play for the first time since the 2014-15 campaign.

The Vikings enter Tuesday's game with a 19-10 overall record, marking the third time over the last six seasons that they have reached the 19-win plateau. Earlier this season Cleveland State posted a program-best 11-game winstreak, which included a 10-1 start to the 2019-20 campaign, marking the best start in program history.

The winner of Tuesday's First Round contest will advance to the Quarterfinals on Thursday, March 5, while the Semifinals will be held on Monday, March 9 and the championship will take place on Tuesday, March 10.
