The Game
After gaining a double-digit lead midway through the second quarter, the Vikings were able to take a 14-point lead into the halftime break, as they started the third quarter with a 46-32 advantage.

To start the third quarter Oakland was able to go on a 5-0 run to close the gap to single digits at the 46-37 mark, but a Savanna Crockett layup and free throw on the ensuing and-one snapped the Oakland run and put the Vikings back up by double-digits at 49-37 with 7:34 left on the clock.

Both teams then traded baskets over the next three minutes, until the Vikings closed out the frame on a 9-2 run to take a 65-48 advantage into the final 10 minutes of action.

During the final quarter the Vikings were able to hold a sizeable lead – and even extend their advantage to 20+ points – to control the game and come away with the 83-64 victory.

Friday's win put the Vikings into a tie for fifth place in the Horizon League standings with an 8-7 record and three games left to play in the regular season.
