Four Score In Double-Figures As Vikings Top UIC, 77-59

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Behind four players scoring in double-figures, the Cleveland State women's basketball team picked up its second straight Horizon League victory, earning a 77-59 win over UIC. With the victory, the Vikings are now 9-7 overall and 4-1 in league play.

Game Stats
· Khayla Livingston led all scorers with 19 points, including a trio of three-pointers.
· Olivia Voskuhl finished with 17 points on an 8-for-13 effort from the floor.
· Ashanti Abshaw tallied 16 points, while Jade Ely added 14 points.
· Ashanti Abshaw grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds, while Shadae Bosley and Jade Ely both recorded seven boards.

· Olivia Voskuhl was one shy of tying her career-high with her 17 point performance against the Flames.
· With her four assists on the game, Khayla Livingston eclipsed the 200-assist mark for her career, finishing the game with 201 helpers.
· With the win over UIC, the Vikings have now won five of their last six games and seven of their last 10.
· Cleveland State remained perfect at home in Horizon League action, improving to 3-0 in the Wolstein Center this season.

The Game
After a strong first half performance, the Vikings went into the halftime break with a double-digit lead for the second straight game, holding a 44-23 advantage over the Flames.

Over the opening minutes of the third quarter the Vikings were able to extend their lead to 23 points at the 8:24 mark following an Olivia Voskuhl layup, and went on to gain a 25-point lead at 54-29 after another Voskuhl layup. Cleveland State was able to hold a 20-point advantage throughout the remainder of the frame, heading into the final 10 minutes of action with a 67-46 lead.

Although the Flames were able to outscore Cleveland State during the fourth quarter, the Vikings were able to hold their lead and close out the 18-point victory to post their fourth Horizon League win of the young season.
