SETTING THE SCENE
After a four-game homestand, the Vikings will hit the road once again, traveling to Detroit for a 7:00 p.m. contest on Thursday, January 31. CSU will be trying to break a three-game losing skid on Thursday, as the Vikings enter the week standing at 10-8 overall and 2-3 in league play. After the first five games of the league schedule, Cleveland State sits fifth in the league standings, while Detroit sits third with a 3-2 record in Horizon League play.

A WIN THURSDAY WOULD...
Give the Vikings a season sweep of the Titans after CSU earned a 77-66 victory earlier this year...Bring the Vikings back to .500 in league play...Keep CSU perfect on the road in league contests.

SCOUTING THE TITANS
Detroit enters Thursday's contest on a three-game win streak, topping UIC, Loyola and Wright State over the last two weeks...The last time Detroit lost was to Cleveland State (Jan. 12) when they dropped a 77-66 decision...The Titans are also on a 12-game home win streak, which dates back to the 2011-12 season...Detroit stands at 10-7 this season and 3-2 in league play...As a team, the Titans lead the league in scoring offense (71.4), field goal percentage (.453) and rebounding margin (+7.4)...Shareta Brown is tops in the league averaging 23.6 points per game and ranks third with 9.4 rebounds per contest...Demeisha Fambro (16th-10.8) and Rosanna Reynolds (22nd-9.5) also rank in the top-25 for Detroit in scoring.

COLEMAN LEADS OFFENSIVE CHARGE AGAINST YSU
For the second time this season Cori Coleman led the Viking offense, posting a team-high 16 points against Youngstown State last Thursday. Coleman was 6-for-9 (.667) from the field against the Penguins, including a 2-for-4 mark from behind the arc. Among the five starters this season, Coleman has the best field goal percentage of .437, which ranks 11th in the league standings.

...RETURNS TO FORM FROM THREE-POINT
After going 0-for-3 from three-point range against Milwaukee, Cori Coleman returned to form against the Penguins converting two shots from behind the arc. Coleman has now made at least two three-pointers in 11 games this season and ranks third in the league with a .404 three-point field goal percentage.

GREEN TURNS UP OFFENSE AGAINST PENGUINS
Kiersten Green tallied her 11th double-digit scoring game of the season against YSU (Jan. 24), posting 14 points - including a pair of three-pointers. Green is one of three Vikings with at least 10 double-digit scoring games this season and now ranks 23rd in the league averaging 9.5 points per game. She also ranks 12th with a .429 field goal percentage and fourth with a .822 free throw percentage.

WINTON ON THE REBOUNDING CHARTS
With nine rebounds against Youngstown State, Shalonda Winton eclipsed the 950 mark for her career, entering the week ranking second on the all-time rebound list at CSU with 958. Winton, who ranks second in the league averaging 10.8 rebounds per game, is now 73 rebounds shy of becoming the all-time leader at Cleveland State. With at least 11 games left in the 2012-13 season, Winton needs to average 6.7 rebounds per contest to become the all-time leader at CSU.

...CLOSING IN ON 1,500 POINTS & 1,000 REBOUNDS
Shalonda Winton is also closing in on becoming just the second player in program history to notch 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds on their career, entering Thursday's contest with 1,569 points and 958 rebounds. With 42 more boards, Winton would join Audra Cook (1,805 pts & 1,030 rbs) as the only Vikings to reach the milestone and would join Youngstown State's Brandi Brown (2009-prs.) and Milwaukee's Traci Edwards (2006-09) as the only league players to achieve the mark.

IN LEAGUE GAMES ONLY...
Cleveland State ranks second in free throw percentage with a .725 clip and ranks third averaging 38.6 rebounds per game...Shalonda Winton leads the league averaging 21.2 points per game and ranks second averaging 10.8 rebounds per game...Cori Coleman ranks fifth averaging 2.2 three-pointers per game and ranks second averaging 39.2 minutes per game...Kiersten Green leads the league averaging 39.8 minutes per contest.

WINTON DOUBLE-DIGIT SCORING STREAK
As of January 27, Shalonda Winton ranks fifth nationally with 38 straight double-digit scoring games, dating back to the Lake Erie contest last season (12/28/11). Winton is one of only five players nationally to score in double-digits for 30 straight games, joining Baylor's Brittney Griner (99), UT Martin's Heather Butler (85), Delaware's Elena Delle Donne (62) and Ohio State's Tayler Hill (53).
