PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Robbie Michaels pulled out a 4-3 win in the 165 bout, but the Cleveland State wrestling team fell to Pittsburgh, 41-3, on Friday (Feb. 11).

Michaels began his match with a takedown and took a 2-1 lead into the second round. He then earned two more points on a near fall to increase his lead to 4-1. Pitt's Ethan Headlee earned a point on an escape and then earned a riding time point for maintaining control for most of the third round, but it was not enough as Michaels won, 4-3.

It was the fourth win in four Eastern Wrestling League dual meets for Michaels, who has a chance to become the first Viking to go undefeated in conference dual meets since Ron Howard accomplished the feat in the 2005-06 campaign.

"It was a tough day, but we can't spend too much time dwelling on it," head coach Ben Stehura said. "We have to turn around for another meet tomorrow night, and our guys will have to be ready."

CSU hosts Clarion tomorrow night (Feb. 12) in Woodling Gym at 7:00 p.m. It will be the final career home meet for Michaels, the team's lone senior.
