2011-12 - FRESHMAN SEASON
Won four matches at 157 pounds...Opened the season as the starter at 157 pounds, competing in the first nine dual meets...Started the year with a 2-2 record at the Eastern Michigan Open (Nov. 5) with victories coming on a major decision and another decision...Defeated his opponent from John Carroll 14-12 in his first career home dual (Nov. 22)...Picked up a major decision victory against his opponent from Cumberland on Dec. 21 at the Northern Illinois Quad Meet.
HIGH SCHOOL
Runner-up at145 pounds at the 2011 Ohio High School Athletic Association state tournament, helping Massillon Perry place second in Division I...as a junior in 2010, he placed eighth at 145 pounds and Perry came in third in the state..after being seeded fifth, he took fourth at 145 pounds at the 2011 FloNationals, an event that only invites nationally ranked wrestlers...also played football for the Panthers, earning 2010 All-Federal League honorable mention and All-Stark County honorable mention.
