CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced Tuesday the 2023 Wrestling Academic All-MAC Team. A total of 80 student-athletes were named to this year's squad.
Cleveland State led the way with a total of 13 student-athletes on the team, while George Mason and Kent State followed with nine honorees each.
The Green and White set a program record for total recognized athletes this season after having consecutive years with nine.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
Marcus Robinson and DeAndre Nassar were recognized for a third time while Daniel Bucknavich, Jake Manley, and Daniel Patten earned their second.
