Was an extremely successful high school wrestler in the state of Ohio…was a state qualifier at 215 pounds as a sophomore in 2010 before placing his final two seasons.…placed sixth in Division II at 215 pounds at the 2011 Ohio High School Athletic Association state meet before coming back with a third place finish at 220 pounds at the 2012 meet.
