Wrestling Adds Six Student-Athletes to Program

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State wrestling program added six student-athletes during the spring signing period.

Joining the Vikings will be Beau Bush, Anthony Foggia, Michael Furbee, Collin Kelly, Chris Morrow and Devon Pingel.

Bush from Holy Cross High School in Slidell, Louisiana, is a four-time state placewinner and was the 2016 state runner-up.

Foggia, a New Jersey stateplace winner and NHSCA All-American from Northern Burlington HS, will most likely wrestle at 133 or 141 pounds for the Vikings. Furbee is a two-time state placer from St. Clairsville HS and will compete at heavyweight.

Kelly is also expected to compete in the upper weight classes at 197 pounds or heavyweight. He placed two times at the state tournament for Mogadore HS. Morrow, a state runner-up from Madison Central in Richmond, Ky., will add depth to the CSU lineup at the middle weights.

Pingle will join the program after finishing as the state runner-up twice at Lapeer HS in Michigah.

In the early signing period the Vikings added four recruits including three-time state champ and the No. 8 ranked wrestler in the country, Logan Lacure (Dayton Christian, Ohio), three-time state placer Ryan Ford (Covington, Ohio), two-time state placer Cameron Lathem (Teays Valley, Ohio), as well as state placer Colton Carroll (Teays Valley, Ohio).
Terrell Grant will join the team after deferring acceptance last year. He was a state placer during his senior year at Tallmadge HS.
