Nick Corba Makes Junior Greco World Team

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State wrestler Nick Corba (Beavercreek, Ohio) won the United World Wrestling National Championship at 84KG (185 pounds) over the weekend in Las Vegas, Nev.

With the victory, Corba will represent the United States at the Junior World Championships, which run from Aug. 11-16 in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil.

"It was a great win for Nick after being so close last year," CSU head wrestling coach Ben Stehura said. "To see him push through all of the adversity and make the world team speaks volumes about his character and work ethic.  I am very proud of him and look forward to seeing him compete on the world stage in Brazil."

Corba earned wins over Joshua Roetman and Jared Johnson to advance to the finals where he won two out of three matches against Wyatt Koelling of Utah to earn his spot on the world team.
