The Vikings had a pair of EWL matches over the weekend against Bloomsburg (Fri. Jan. 31) and Lock Haven (Sat. Feb. 1).  CSU dropped both matches over the weekend, but had wins from 133-pounder Jared McKinley, 141-pounder Nick Montgomery, 174- pounder Nick Corba, and heavyweight Riley Shaw.

McKinley boosted his winning record to 16-10, posting his fifth major decision of the year over Bloomsburg's Elliot Zackoski,10-1.  Montgomery earned his first tech fall  of the campaign over Bloomsburg's Derek Goodwin, 26-8, upping his record to 13-8.  Freshman Nick Corba tallied his 13th win of the season with a decision win over Lock Haven's Dylan Caprio, 4-3.  He has eight decision wins on the year.  Shaw won his 15th match of the year, earning his seventh decision victory for the green and white over Lock Haven's Cody Mason, 6-0.

The Vikings had 13 wrestlers  compete in the Southern Scuffle earlier this season (Jan. 1-2).  On day one of the Scuffle, CSU had many wrestlers earn victories against their opponents.  Michael Carlone, Jared McKinley, Nick Montgomery, and Riley Shaw all posted wins.  Carlone tallied two wins with a pin and also won by forfeit.  McKinley won by a 15-3 major decision, giving him two major decisions on the year.  Montgomery earned a victory by decision, 5-1, and Shaw picked up a second major decision win of the year.

Following this week's dual matches, the Vikings will be back at home for their final EWL match of the season against Rider on Saturday (Feb. 15).  Wrestling will get underway at 1:00 p.m.
