CLEVELAND, Ohio - The NCAA Division I wrestling brackets were announced on Wednesday with Cleveland State's junior 125-pounder Ben Willeford and freshman heavyweight Riley Shawlearned their draws.

The NCAA Championships will take place from March 21-23 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.

Willeford, who won the 125 pound title at the EWL Championships last weekend, will open the national tournament against third-seeded Matt McDonough of Iowa. Willeford is 23-16 this season, while McDonough is 20-3 and a two-time NCAA champion (2010, 2012) and the runner-up at 125 pounds in 2011.

Willeford became the first Viking to win an EWL Championship crown since Rashard Gofftook home first place in 2009 at heavyweight for the Vikings.

Shaw, who is 23-16 this season, earned an automatic bid to nationals by placing third at the EWL Championships. He will square off against Michigan State's Mike McClure, the eighth-seed, in a first round match. He leads the Spartans with 32 wins this season and is also making his frist trip to the NCAA Championships.

Willeford and Shaw are the second and third Vikings to advance to the NCAA tournament under head coach Ben Stehura, joining Goff's qualification in 2009.
