CLEVELAND, Ohio - Jorg Van Der Vloet, a native of The Netherlands who has had success on the Dutch Men's Open Circuit, has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Cleveland State men's tennis program beginning in the fall of 2011.

"Jorg is a very talented player and will impact the team immediately," Etzkin said. "We have a proud recent history of Dutch tennis players on the squad and he will follow in the footsteps of Robert Fox and Yannick Goossens who have been an important part of our championship run at Cleveland State."

Van der Vloet has had success on the Dutch Men's Open Circuit where he has won three tournaments since 2008 and reached the semi-finas or finals 11 more times. In the past year, he has had three wins over Top 100 Dutch players including most recently, a win over a Top 50 player.

"I am excited about Jorg coming to Cleveland State," Etzkin said. "He is a player that is steadily improving and that will only continue as he joins the ranks of college tennis. Coach Tee and I are eager to work with him in the fall."

Van der Vloet joins Ben Shklyar (Deerfield, IL) and Nolan Marks (Kenston, OH) to make up the 2011 freshman class.

The Vikings recently competed in the NCAA Championship for the fourth straight year after winning their fourth straight Horizon League Championship with a 4-1 win over Green Bay on April 23.

CSU fell in the opening round of the NCAA Championship, 4-0, at 10th-ranked Kentucky.
