Cleveland State enters the weekend at 7-9 overall this season and 1-1 in the Horizon League after splitting its contests last weekend. Last Friday, the Vikings tallied their first-ever win against Western Michigan (4-3), and then fell to Youngstown State (4-3) on Saturday. The loss against YSU snapped a 26-match regular season win streak that the Vikings had in the Horizon League, while it also marked the first time in the last four seasons that CSU has dropped a contest to a Horizon League opponent.

Matt Ford enters the weekend on a three-match win streak and has won five out of his last seven singles matches. Playing mostly at No. 6 singles, Ford leads the Vikings with an 11-5 record this spring. He has also won three out of his last four doubles matches with teammate Yannick Goossens, standing at 5-5 on the season.

Along with Ford, Matt Kuelker and Jorg Van Der Vloet picked up singles wins against Western Michigan last Friday, while Goossens, Ford and Nolan Marks picked up wins against Youngstown State on Saturday.

The Opponent
Green Bay enters the weekend with a 13-5 overall record and stands at 2-0 in the league, just one of three undefeated teams left. The Phoenix has yet to lose a singles match during league contests, holding a perfect 12-0 record. Craig Cox leads Green Bay with a 14-4 singles record this spring, while Paul Swanson (13-5) and Michael Tenzer (13-4) are close behind.

Under head coach Brian Etzkin the Vikings own an 8-4 record against Green Bay. All eight wins against the Phoenix have come in the past five seasons though, as CSU is currently on an 8-match win streak against Green Bay.
