Tee and Winn Eliminated From Singles Play At ITA Regional

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Jay Tee and Eric Winn were both eliminated from the singles bracket in the opening round of play at the ITA Midwest Regional tournament on Thursday in East Lansing, Mich.

Tee fell to the second-seed, Eric Langenkamp of Notre Dame, 6-0, 6-1, in a late Thursday match, while Winn fell at the hands of Northwestern's Ahmed Wahla, 6-2, 6-2.

"We didn't play as well as I know we could," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "We've got to work on being able to play our best in the big moments."

The pair will wait until Saturday to resume play at the tournament in the doubles bracket when they face an unseeded pair from Louisville, Jhonny Berrido and Damar Johnson.

"We're going to spend the next 48 hours focusing on doubles," Etzkin said. "A win in doubles would be huge, and it would help us forget about the singles matches."
