INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Cleveland State men's tennis team wasted no time in dispatching Youngstown State from the Horizon League Championship as the Vikings swept their way to a 4-0 win on Saturday morning in Indianapolis. Cleveland State advances to face the No. 1 seed, Butler, on Saturday afternoon.

"We really came right out and took care of business," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "The guys got right on and right off the court and never let YSU really get into the match. We're really stoked right now, we can't wait to take it to Butler and see what we can do."

The opened with the doubles point, as Jay Tee and Eric Winn defeated Kevin Schaffert and Raul Pepino, 8-3, at No. 1. Dan Singer and Brett Aronson clinched the point, picking up an 8-2 win over Tom Barth and Justin Beck at No. 3.

The match was soon over, as three Vikings took easy two-set victories. At No. 3 singles, Aronson defeated Tom Barth, 6-4, 6-1, while Paul Haley took a 6-1, 6-1, win from Justin Trapp at No. 5 singles. The fourth point was scored by Jordan Reynolds, who defeated Justin Beck, 6-2, 6-0.

The remainder of the singles and doubles matches were not completed, as the tournament format calls for team matches to be played to four wins, rather than to completion.
