ORLANDO, Fla. - The Cleveland State men's tennis team evened its record at 8-8 with a 5-2 win over St. Cloud State on Monday in Orlando, Fla. The Vikings swept the three doubles matches in getting back to .500 for the first time since Oct. 5. Cleveland State has won seven of its last eight matches after opening the year 1-7.

"This has been a really great run for the guys," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "The doubles sweep was really good to see, we now feel that every time we step on the court, we have the potential to win the doubles point and go up 1-0 before singles even start."

Of the Vikings' four wins in singles play, each came in straight sets, with Paul Haley leading the way at No. 5 singles, posting a 6-0, 6-2 win over Jeff Horner. Jordan Reynolds defeated Chad Olson at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-2, while Dan Singer scored a 7-5, 7-5 win over Travis Marohl at No. 3. Eric Winn added a 6-2, 7-6(5) win at No. 1 singles over Bryan Baumann.

The Vikings will wrap up play on their spring break trip on Tuesday with a match against Fairfield at noon.
