CLEVELAND - The Cleveland State men's tennis team had its four-match win streak snapped on Sunday afternoon, losing to Toledo, 6-1, at the River Oaks Racquet Club in Rocky River, Ohio. Jordan Reynolds had the lone win for the Vikings, who fell to 5-8 on the year.
"I think this match hurt a little bit because we'd been on a little roll," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "When you start winning, the losses hurt a little bit more."
Reynolds kept the Vikings from being shut out, winning at No. 6 singles, defeating Brian Rager, 7-5, 6-2. Dan Singer had the only match to go three games, falling at No. 4 singles, 1-6, 6-2, 6-0.
The Vikings will next face Wright State on Sunday, March 7, in Dayton, Ohio.
"With our next match being a conference match, it would be great if we could get a win there and start another streak on our upcoming spring break training trip," Etzkin said.
